Kitchen Griller

  • Clear criminal record (essential)
  • Min. 1 year experience in the hospitality/restaurant industry
  • Previous Kitchen Griller experience
  • Willing to work shifts
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle unexpected issues well
  • Assertive personality
  • Team player
  • Consistent in in-service delivery

Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Preparing menus and dishes in collaboration with the Head Chef and Assistant Head Chef
  • Ensuring adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations
  • Preparing ingredients that should be frequently available (vegetables, chips etc.)
  • Maintaining health, hygiene and safety requirements
  • Ensuring that the area of responsibility is always kept clean and tidy
  • Ensuring that the Chef is informed of ingredient orders that need replenishing
  • Ensuring that all dishes are correctly garnished, have the correct portion size, and are presented in accordance with the prescribed serving dish in the prescribed manner
  • Following the guidance of the Head of Sous Chef and offer input of new ways to present or prepare dishes
  • Putting effort in optimizing the cooking process with attention to speed and quality
  • Monitoring overall look, feel and cleanliness of restaurant
  • Following and ensuring all staff follow the Bamboo Code of Conduct and management rules
  • Maintaining smooth and friendly cooperation

Candidates who have successfully passed their interviews will be required to complete a three-hour test shift.
